Who we are
Founded in 2008, Puma Capital provides high-touch service with modern execution solutions. We service a mix of hedge funds, international banks, broker-dealers, and listed corporations, among others. Our traders, on average, have more than 20 years of experience. As market makers, we make markets in thousands of listed and over-the-counter securities, willing to offer liquidity and our capital when in the best interest of our customers. Our agency execution sales and trading specialists provide strategic equity execution based on the direction of our customers. The derivatives execution team utilizes proprietary technology to facilitate complex option strategies primarily in the Delta One market.

Founder, Executive Chairman
Steven Kosson is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Puma Capital. Prior to founding Puma Capital in 2008, Steven was Head of Distressed Equities and Special Situations for Hill Thompson, Magid & Co., a division of Royal Bank of Canada. Steven began his career on Wall Street in 1997 at Credit Suisse’s online brokerage division DLJ Direct. He received a B.S. in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Arizona. Steven currently maintains his Series 7, 57, 24, and 63 designations.

Founder, CFO
Marc Gross is the CFO/FINOP and Co-Founder of Puma Capital. Before Joining Puma, Marc was Managing Director, High Yield Portfolio Manager at The Guardian Life Insurance Company. In this role, his responsibilities included managing $5 billion of below investment grade assets. Marc has also held positions at The Clinton Group, RBC Dain Rauscher and SG Cowen Securities. Marc holds a B.A. in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. in finance from the New York University Stern School of Business. He maintains his Series 7, 27, 57, and 63 designations

Joshua Greenstein is the President of Puma Capital. Josh joined Puma Capital in December 2007 steering the firm through the initial FINRA NMA process. Josh began his career in 1994 as an institutional wholesale equities trader specializing in trading over-the-counter securities. He received an M.B.A. from the Zicklin School of Business and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Vermont. Josh currently maintains his Series 7, 24, 57, and 63 designations.

Peter Timony is the Chief Operations Officer for Puma Capital. Before joining Puma Capital in March 2017, Peter had over 20 years of experience in Operations, Compliance, Trading, and Management at NYSE-based Broker-Dealers. He earned a B.S. from SUNY Oneonta. Peter currently maintains his Series 7,24,63,57 and 99 designations.

Michael Gutshall is the Chief Compliance Officer for Puma Capital. Michael joined Puma Capital in May 2015. Michael is a 20-year industry veteran, having spent the majority of his career in broker-dealer compliance, OTC equity trading, and management. He received a B.S. in Business Management from Bryant College. Michael was awarded the CRCP designation from the Wharton School of Business, and the CAMS designation from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. Michael currently maintains his Series 7, 24, 57, 63, and 99 designations.
